But there are also other occurrences of this name, like in the title or lyrics of popular songs. This Music Hall consists of a collection of songs that contain the word EAGLE.

The Beatles: Yer Blues ("The White Album")

The eagle picks my eye
The worm he licks my bone
I feel so sucidal
Just like Dylan's Mr. Jones

New Riders of the Purple Sage: Last Lonely Eagle ("New Riders of the Purple Sage")

And take a last, flying look
At the last lonely eagle
He's soaring the length of the land
Shed a tear for the fate
Of the last lonely eagle
For you know that he never will land

Sammy Hagar: Eagles fly ("I never said goodbye")

Sunday morning 9 a.m.
I saw fire in the sky
I felt my heart pound in my chest
I heard an eagle cry

Now I'm alive I can breathe the air
Feel the wind, smell the earth in the air
I watch an eagle rise above the trees
Project myself into what he sees
Hey-

Take me away
Come on and fly me away
Take me up so high
Where eagles fly

I often dream I sail through the sky
I've always wished I could fly
The simple life of a bird on the wing
Oh Lord, I could sing

Take me away
Come on fly me away
Lift me up so high
Where eagles fly
Oh yeah-

I'm alive, I breathe the air
Wash the earth from my face
I catch a glimpse of another dream
I turn, I look but there's no trace

Take me away
Come on, fly me away
I wanna fly away
Pick me up so high
Where eagles fly

Oh yeah-
Eagles fly, oh, take me away
Eagles fly, oh, take me away
Come on, let's fly away where eales fly
Come on, fly away where eagles fly

Misfits: Where eagles dare ("Legacy of Brutality")

We walk the streets at night
We go where eagles dare
They pick up every movement
They pick up every loser
With jaded eyes and feature
You think they really care
...
With jaded eyes and features
You think they really care
Let's go where eagles dare
We'll go where eagles dare

I take my leave

The Beach Boys: California Saga / The Beaks of Eagles ("Holland")

An eagle's nest on the head of an old redwood
on one of the precipice-footed ridges above Ventana Creek,
that jagged country which nothing but a fallen meteor will ever plow:
no horseman will ever ride there, no hunter cross this ridge but the winged ones,
no one will steal the eggs from this fortress....
...The unstable animal never has been changed so rapidly.
The motor and the plane and the great war have gone over him,
And Lenin has lived and Jehovah died: while the mother-eagle
Hunts her same hills, crying the same beautiful and lonely cry
And is never tired: dreams the same dreams,
And hears at night the rock-slides rattle and thunder in the
Throats of these living mountains...

Robin Trower: Day of the Eagle ("Bridge Of Sighs")

I saw a light, just up ahead
But I couldn't seem to rise up from my bed
I'm not alone, than I am
People seem to think I'm superman
But I watch for the love
I'm living in the day of the eagle
The eagle not the dove...

Kate Price: The Lady and the Eagle ("The Time Between")

Sitting on the mountain side,
she a wounded eagle spied
And took it home and made it well
And together they did dwell
Tears like rain from angels fell

Gammaray: Eagle ("No World Order")

And I hear the cry of an eagle
Out in the heavens he will not obey
I hear the cry of an eagle
Riding on wings of tomorrow
That take me away

John Denver: The Eagle and the Hawk ("AERIE")

I am the Eagle, I live in high country
In rocky cathedrals that reach to the sky
I am the hawk and there's blood on my feathers
But time is still turning they soon will be dry
And all those who see me and all who believe in me
Share in the freedom I feel when I fly

John Denver: Eagles and Horses ("the flower that shattered the stone")

Eagles inhabit the heavenly heights,
they know neither limits nor bounds
Like the guardian angels of darkness and light
They see all and hear every sound

My spirit will never be broken nor caught
For the soul is a free flying thing
Like an eagle that needs neither comfort nor thought
To rise up on glorious wings

Tasmin Archer: Sleeping Satellite ("Great Expectations")

I blame you for the moonlit sky

when I wonder why
are the seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite

Saxon: The Eagle has Landed ("Power And The Glory")

The Eagle Has Landed:
The man has stepped up for mankind
On a distant moon, a sea
As you travel across the universe
Or you take a step
Take a step for me
Will you take a step for me

I'm an Eagle
Blasting to the stars
You take the hopes and dreams of men
To find yourself
To find tranquillity
To find tranquillity

Iron Maiden : Where Eagles Dare ("Piece Of Mind")

It's snowing outside the rumbling sound of engines roar in the night
The mission is near the confident men are waiting to drop from the sky
The blizzard goes on but still they must fly, no one should go where eagles dare

Bavarian alps that lay all around, they seem to stare from below
The enemy lines a long time passed are lying deep in the snow
Into the night they fall through the sky, no one should fly where eagles dare

They're closing in the fortress is near, it's standing high in the sky
The cable car's the only way in, it's really impossible to climb
They make their way but maybe too late, they've got to try to save the day

The panicking cries the roaring of guns are echoing all round the valley
The mission complete they make to escape away from the Eagle's Nest
They dared to go where no one would try, they chose to fly where eagles dare

Composer: Harris

America: The Last Unicorn ("Soundtrack: The Last Unicorn")

When the last eagle flies

at the last dusty fountain

at the last unicorn.

John St. John: Flight Of The Eagle

Silhouetted against the clear, intensely blue sky, the Eagle
flies majestically, echoing it's cry against the canyon walls.

tranquility. It is a time to clarify thoughts... and nurture your soul.

Various artists: Save The Eagle®

God in all his wisdom, made a world onto his name
Then he filled it with his creatures, great and small
Then he linked them all together, like the pieces of a chain
As the secret of survival for them all
Before the chain is broken forever
We gotta keep, keep the world together
We gotta save, save, save the Eagle
The symbol of the feeling we call free
We've gotta keep the dreams alive
Keep them flying high
Save the Eagle, save part of you and me

Near a soldier, an ex-Marine with a tattooed dagger and eagle trembling, he bites his lip beside a widow breaking down. She takes her Purple Heart, makes a fist, strikes The Wall. All come to live a dream, to join the slowest parade they'll ever see. Their weight of sorrows carried long and carried far, taken to The Wall.
